A Brief History

An undergraduate medical anthropology background, coupled with conventional veterinary school training, led me to a very open-minded practice philosophy. After years of listening to pet guardians interested in providing safer, gentler, less invasive and more proactive treatment options for their pets, I realized it was time to take the next step towards becoming an integrative veterinarian. That step was enrolling in the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society Basic Acupuncture Course. Pending certification in March, 2010, I am seeking opportunities to help conventional practitioners build their practices by reaching out to holistic clients. At the same time, I am committed to supporting animal lovers as they seek integrative pet care information.
My Goals
- Bridge the communication gap between conventional veterinary practitioners and clients interested in taking an integrative approach to pet health care.
- Provide patient advocacy – Help pet owners make informed decisions about an integrative approach to the best of conventional and holistic modalities to help their beloved pets live long, happy, healthy lives.
- Support patients’ immune systems to maintain and improve health. Address root causes of disease states and do not only suppress symptoms.
- Continue to learn and share knowledge about the highest quality veterinary medicine available.
Mission Statement
Promote animal wellness though the understanding and utilization of integrative health care options.
