Last Chance to Register for Shelter Animal Reiki I

Last Chance to Register for Shelter Animal Reiki IOn Saturday, January 15th, 2011 from 10am to 6pm, Sheryl Schlameuss Berger, RMT, will lead Warwick Valley Humane Society’s first Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA) training class. This Reiki I class will be held at the shelter, 48 Public Works Drive, Warwick, NY (www.wvhumane.org). A portion of the $100.00 tuition, which includes all required materials, will be donated back to the Warwick Valley Humane Society. There are just a few more days left to register to participate in this unique opportunity.

Acupuncture Clinics at Warwick Humane Society

Mark your calendars! Warwick Valley Humane Society will be hosting regular acupuncture clinics starting in 2011. Many people may not be aware that acupuncture is available for pets. Others may fear that their furry friends would object to needle placement. (They usually do not.) There is a unique opportunity for pet guardians in Orange County, New York to learn more about veterinary acupuncture and even bring their pets for a treatment, all while supporting animals in need. Bring your cats and dogs to the Warwick Valley Humane Society on Sunday, January 9th between 11am to 1pm for a 20 minute acupuncture session with holistic veterinarian, Pam Shultz of Orchard Grove Animal Hospital in Warwick. The cost is $20 per pet and proceeds will benefit the shelter. After this January event, the next acupuncture clinic will be held
the second Sunday in March.

Tuesdays, starting December 14th, 2010 veterinary acupuncture will be available at Orchard Grove Animal Hospital, 4 Ball Road, Warwick, New York. The benefits of veterinary acupuncture include pain management for arthritis or other chronic pain conditions, improved digestion and enhanced overall health and well being. Integrative veterinarian, Pam Shultz, has been providing acupuncture services in Rockland and Ulster counties and is excited to offer not only traditional Chinese medicine, but also Reiki for pets as well consultations on supplements and nutrition for small animals in her home town of Warwick.
